The Costa Smeralda has long been a sailing port.   
 
From the very early days when the Costa Smeralda was discovered the founders have been keen sailors and they founded one of the most famous Yachting Clubs in the    Mediterranean.
 
There are numerous sailing schools and so even those who are not export sailors can try out this exciting sport, an ideal way to come into close contact with the wild and unexplored side of Sardinia.     
 
And for diehard sailors, every year between September and October numerous international regattas are organised including the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup and the Swan Cup.
